It’s been a long time coming, but Australian heavy metal pioneers Parkway Drive are finally coming home.

Inarguably Australia’s most successful heavy metal export, Parkway Drive formed in Byron Bay in 2003. The band will return to home soil this September for their first headline tour since 2018. They’ve been home since then but have exclusively headlined festivals, including Good Things 2019, Knight And Day in 2021, and performed at the inaugural Knotfest Australia in 2023.

“Australia, it’s been a while. To be honest, it feels like forever,” Parkway Drive vocalist Winston McCall commented in a press release. “We didn’t plan it to be this way, but then again, we didn’t plan on making it this far in the first place.

“So here it is, we’re finally back, with the biggest headlining tour we have done, anywhere, ever, full stop. A celebration of a 20-year journey of the roads we have walked through, the generations, to the path we still define, our own. 20 years, through blood, sweat and tears. Still Australian, still unbreakable. Australia, turn up and make us proud, this is one for the history books.”
